The City of Kelowna
Kelowna is a city that provides all the amenities of a big city while at the same time providing the sensibility of a small town. With a population of 109,000 people, Kelowna is located on the eastern shore of the Okanagan Lake and is easily accessible by car, bus and air. When winter arrives in Kelowna, you can choose from any of the four ski resorts in the area: Big White, Silver Star, Crystal Mountain and Apex. All four ski resorts are a short drive from the city. In addition to these major ski resorts, Kelowna offers many cross-country ski clubs with approximately 85 kms of groomed runs.
The Downtown Cultural District
The Downtown Cultural District includes the Kelowna Art Gallery, Community Theatre, Rotary Centre for the Arts, museums, theatres, Casino and various artists' studios. Kelowna is home to several local theatre groups and a symphony orchestra. Prospera Place, a 6,000 seat multi-purpose facility, attracts major entertainers and major events to the heart of Kelowna's Cultural District.

Okanagan offers university and transfer programs, as well Okanagan College has a wide range of trade courses. Considered the eleventh most traveled airport in Canada, Kelowna's International Airport can connect you to whereever you are going.
